As some of you will know, I am the organiser of the Membrain Festival in Croatia - Šibenik, for those of you who do not know, it is an underground bass culture festival, main focus is on UK Bass, Drum and Bass, Dubstep and derivative genres. I have been in music since early age and am producing music for many years, which lead me to organise a festival back in 2016, because of lack (in my humble experience) support to the emerging talent.
Utilising my knowledge and network I have built up throughout the years making my living as an artist, live musician, sound technician, producer, dj and event organiser with my company Driftkikker Productions, I wanted to create an opportunity where upcoming and established artists can network, without pretence or grandeur, a place where like minded people can simply be and feel at home, proud to say my mission has been a success.
Now running into the 4th edition with the biggest lineup to date and quite an array of launch parties in the name of the festival across the globe (Japan, USA, South Africa, UK, Ireland, Span, Italy, Germany etc, etc..) very proud of how far it has grown in such a short time and the culture built through it.
After 3 years of hosting the event at Minerska Bay, we are moving location to Martinska, just across the channel and joining forces with other local organisers of alternative culture events in the region, but also with Noise Test from UK and Embodiment Media (Netherlands). New Location is called Martinska and it's in many ways an upgrade for all festival goers who were following previous editions.
